Connersville City Councilman Tommy Lee Williams Jr’s family suffered a horrible attack last Friday when their home was vandalized with a racial slur and set afire. The City of Connersville grieves with the family for the loss of their pets who died in the fire, the loss of their possessions and especially for the disgustingly heinous racially motivated nature of this attack. The citizens of Connersville can not and will not tolerate this ugly attack on our community. We encourage the community to continue the outpouring of support for the Williams family via the GoFundMe fundraiser and donations of furniture and needed items. We also hope for a quick resolution to the criminal investigation by the FBI, state and local investigators; followed by with the swift prosecution of any responsible for this attack.
